Leer es una de mis aficiones preferidas y si tuviera un amigo dragón... ¡por supuesto que leeríamos juntos! Además, mis personajes han elegido leer mientras se dan un bañito en la orilla de un río por que ya empieza hacer mucho calor, ¡qué envidia!

Read is one of my favorite hobbies, and if I had a dragon friend... Surely we would spent a lot of time reading together! Besides, my characters have choosen read while they are taking a bath on the river beacuse the weather is starting to be very hot, How lucky!

4º Diosa Dragon // The 4th Dragon Goddess

El Dragon de fuego // The Fire Dragon

Este es el cuarto dibujo de la serie sobre Diosas Dragón: El dragón de Fuego.
A pesar de que he tardado más en subir este nuevo dibujo, sigue teniendo la misma calidad que los anteriores. Esta hecho con acuarelas y un poco de guache blanco para sacar algunas luces y brillos. En este caso, las gamas de color van desde naranjas y rojos a negros, para que recuerden a los volcanes y la lava.

Aún me queda un dibujo más por enseñaros, no os lo perdáis.

Another one!!
This is the fourth drawing about Dragon Goddesses: The Fire Dragon.
Despite of uploading late, this new illustration have the same quality than the others. As the previous one, I used watercolors and some touchs of white gouache to create some lights, but, in this case I chose red, orange and dark colors because it's inspired in volcans and lava.

Still I have one more drawing to show you, don't miss it.

3º Diosa Dragón // the 3 rd Dragon Goddess

¡Uno más!
Este es el tercer dibujo de la serie sobre Diosas Dragón: El dragón del bosque. 
En esta ilustración he usado más colores que en las anteriores (verdes, ocres-marrones claros y negros) ya que no quería darle un tono muy verdoso a la piel y el pelo, pero creo que esta elección fue acertada ;).
Como los anteriores, esta hecho con acuarelas y un poco de guache blanco para sacar algunas luces y brillos.

Aún me queda algún dibujo más por enseñaros, no os lo perdáis.

One more!!
This is the third drawing about Dragon Goddesses: The Forest Dragon.
In this illustration I've used more colors than the previous drawings (green, pastel ochre, brown and black), because I didn't want to paint in green tones her skin and hair, but I think that decision was right.
As the previous one, I used watercolors and some touchs of white gouache to create some lights.

El Dragón de agua // The Water Dragon

Aquí esta el segundo dibujo de mi serie sobre Diosas Dragón: El dragón de agua. Para este he elegido tonos azules y negros. Como el anterior, esta hecho con acuarelas, además de añadir un poco de guache blanco para sacar algunas luces y brillos.
Escogí dibujar detalles como escamas redondas y perlas por que las asocio a el agua.
 
Mañana subiré otro dibujo más, no os lo perdáis.

In this illustration I've chosen black and  blue tones. As the last one, I used watercolors too, even I used white gouache to add some lights. I decided drawing pearls and round scales because I think this things are linking to water.

Serie de Diosas Dragón // Dragon Goddesses serie

 Dragón del desierto // Desert Dragon

¡Hola!
Lo primero, siento mucho haber estado tanto tiempo sin subir trabajos nuevos, pero los últimos meses del 2013 fueron una locura. Este año espero tener un poco más de tiempo y muchos más proyectos interesantes para mostraros también.

Esta es una pequeña serie de fantasía, sobre diosas que representan a distintas clases dragones. Como siempre, dibujo sobre mis temas favoritos: magia, dragones y chicas guerreras ;)
Cada pieza esta realizada a dos colores, en este caso negro y amarillo. La técnica es acuarela (si, si, el negro también es acuarela, he usado acuarela liquida  para conseguir el efecto de tinta china negra), además de añadir un poco de guache blanco para sacar algunas luces y brillos.
Esta semana iré subiendo el resto de la serie, no os la perdáis.

Hi there!
Firstly, I'm sorry for taking so long without upload new illustrations, but the last months I have been super busy, so I hope this new year bring me more time and more great projects to show you too.

This is a fantasy serie of drawings, about goddesses who represent a diferent kinds of dragons (hehe as always, I draw about my favorited topics: fantasy, animals and brave girls ;))

Each drawing is making in two colors, in this case, black and yellow. I used watercolors (yeah, black color is watercolor too but I used liquid watercolor to obtain a effec which looks like indian ink). I used white gouache to add some lights too.
This week i'm going to upload the rest of them, don't miss it.

Ayer quise salirme de la rutina y  empece a subir fotos en directo de la evolución de este dibujo a lápices, desde las primeras líneas hasta los detalles finales. ¡Fue una experiencia muy divertida! La gente comentaba y esperaba para ver el dibujo final.
Planeo volver a repetirlo, estar atentos a mi FB ;P

Yesterday I wanted to break the routine and I decided to start to upload live pictures of a drawing evolution, from the first plain lines until last small details. It was a great experiencie! People gave me their opinion and they waited to see the final work.
I intend to repeat this experience again, keep a close watch on my FB :P

Sketch: Dragon's valley

Tinta negra y gouache blanco // Black ink & white gouache 

¡Hola!

Tenia muchas ganas de dibujar un dragón clásico, cambiar un poco mi estilo de dragón "peludo" y conseguir hacer uno con bonitas escamas y alas membranosas. 

Esta acompañado por un joven guerrero (¡siempre dibujo niñas! Este es otro pequeño cambio ;D), aunque con ese pelo tan largo podéis pensar que es una chica, XD.

No suelo pintar mucho en blanco y negro, pero cuando estaba repasando las líneas me pareció la tonalidad perfecta, ¿no lo crees?

Hi There!
I was looking forward to draw a classic dragon, I need to challenge myself to change my typical "furry" drangon and achieve to make one with nice scales and membrane wings. It's accompanied by young warrior (I'm always drawing girls! Another new change today ;D). Well, he can look a little bit girly because of his long hair... XD
I usually don't paint black & white, but when I was drawing the lines, I thought that it was the perfect color for this drawing, I did well,  didn't?

Walking with dragons

¿Quién no quiere tener por amigo a un dragón? ¡Sería fantástico! Prodrías volar subido en él (ahorrarías mucho en billetes de avión), te ayudaría a preparar fuego para cocinar, mordería a tu enemigos (bien, si tu no tienes ninguno, sólo a la gente molesta ;D) y  podrías vivir mágicas aventuras... ¡yo quiero, yo quiero! Eso si, también tiene su lado menos divertido, todos lo días tendrías que ayudarle a limpiarse los afilados dientes (necesitas un cepillo de dientes muy grande y gastar todos tus ahorros en pasta de dientes...), tendrías que hacerle la manicura (¡urrg!)  o limpiarle y abrillantarle TODAS las escamas, pero a pesar de todo esto, creo que merece la pena, ¿no? ¿Tu querrías tener un dragón también?

Siempre que dibujo dragones, me inspiro en los dragones chinos (puedes ver este  boceto de un antiguo post ). Son mas parecidos a una serpiente peludas que a un dragón mitológico europeo... Si, si, ya se que tiene un aire al dragón de "El viaje de Chihiro", pero, ¿quién no esta enamorada de los personajes de Miyazaki? ¡Soy super fan!. 

Esta semana estaba también muy inspirada por que había terminado de leer la trilogía de libros de Eragon de Christopher Paolini. Es genial, muy entretenida. Además, creo que las pasadas navidades publicaron un nuevo libro, ¡el cuarto! Espero que este libro me inspire tanto como los otros tres.

Who don't want to have  a dragon friend? Might be wonderful! You will be able to fly riding on it (you will save a lot of money on airline tickets), it  might help you to lighting of fires to cook, it might frighten your enemies (well, if you don't have anyone, only it can bite at annoying people ;D), you might live magical adventures (oh! I want it, please!!!!!!!). In despite of this, everything isn't good and fun, every day you must help to brush its sharp teeth (you need a huge toothbrush and spend a lot of money in  toothpaste...), or you must do a manicure (creepy!) and clean and polish ALL its scales... in spite of this, I think might be great, isn't? Would you want to have a dragon too?  ;D 


Everytime I draw a dragon, I inspire in chinese dragons (you can see this old sketch), it's looks like a furry snake more than a mythological european dragon... Yeah, yeah, you are right,  it looks like the "Spirited away" dragon, but Who don't love Mizayaki's characters? I'm a big fan!
This week in very inspired because I finished to read  "Eragon: The Dragon Rider Legacy" of  Christopher Paolini. It's a nice trilogy. Besides, I think the last Christmas published a  new book, the forth! I hope this book inspsire me a little bit, again ;D

Sketch: Dragón Blanco / White Dragon

¡Hola!
Hoy me apetecía enseñaros este boceto que hice en mi "moleskine" con rotuladores. Me encanta el dragón blanco. Cuando lo estaba dibujando, pensaba en Fújur el dragón de la historia interminable, de Michael Ende (¡es mi libro favorito!, lo he leído muchísimas veces :D)
Me encanta el tono suave-pastel de la imagen. Es difícil conseguir esos neutralidad con rotuladores. Necesitas trabajar dando pocas pasadas y con tonos muy muy claritos.

Today I wanted to show you this sketch which I did with markers in my "moleskine" . I love the white dragon. When I was drawing it, I thougt in "Fujur" a character (the white dragon) of Neverending Story by Michael Ende (This is my favourite book! I have read many times :D)


I love the soft tones. It is very difficult to get neutral colors with markers. You must giving few coats and will use very -very clear colors.
