Acuarelas y gouache blanco // Watercolors and white gouache
¡Hola!
Se que ha pasado mucho tiempo desde que subí nuevos trabajos, pero últimamente estoy inmersa en un montón de proyectos (de los que ya os contare) y ¡no saco tiempo para nada!
Este dibujo tiene un estilo más "manga" de lo habitual en mis acuarelas, pero me gustaba mucho como había quedado de color y el tratamiento de el fondo; ¡no podía perder la oportunidad de mostrarlo!
Es una Miko japonesa (sacerdotisa). Me inspire en unos de mis personajes favoritos,
Kikyō, del manga
InuYasha de
Rumiko Takahashi. ¡Soy una gran fan de todas las historias de esta gran mangaka y dibujante!
Sobre el dibujo, me gusta la tranqulidad y misterio que transmite. Además, estoy muy orgullosa de la textura del fondo. Buscaba que tuviera movimiento, como si fueran ráfagas de luz dentro de una cueva. Lo conseguí restregando un pincel viejo con fluido para enmascarar, dejando trazos rotos y después dando muchas capas de color. Cuando tenia las reservas hechas, añadí una primera capa de tono azul-morado medio oscuro y cuando estaba seca, quite la mascara y pinte encima, con tonos tierra mezclados con azules ultramar, y gracias a las mascaras que habíamos hecho antes, el tono cerca de el personaje siempre será más claro, con bordes duros.
A veces me planteo hacer un tutorial sobre tecnicas y recursos, ¿Os gustaria?

Sorry for not uploading very frecuently, but recently I'm very busy working in great proyects (I'll talk about this very soon! )
This drawing is more "manga style" than other of my watercolors, but I like tone colors and textures of canvas... I was looking forward to show it to you!
It's a Japanese Miko (priestess). It's inspired in Kikyō, one of my favorites character of "InuYasha", one manga by Rumiko Takahashi. I'm super fan of her work, it's a great illustrator!
About my drawing, I love the sensation of calm and mystery which transmited. Besides, i'm very proud of bottom texture. I wanted show movement, like wind moving rays of light into a caver. I drew it rubbing a old brush with masking fluid, making hard lines and applied a lot of color layers. When the making fluid was dry, I added the first layer of dark blue and purple colors, and when it was dry again, I removed the masking fluid and I painted over again, using a mixture of brown and royal blue colors. Thanks to masks, the tones near of the character are always more pale and have a hard edges. We got the effect!
Sometime I think in to do a tutorial about tecniques and resources, What do you think, would you like it?
