Lunes floreados: Flores naranjas // Flowered Mondays: Orange flowers

Acuarelas y Tinta China // Watercolors & ink

Miss Aoki

Another Monday comes with a gorgeous flower bouquet!

If you've took notice, I usually show the art supplies I used to do the drawing on the picture. I think this can be a great help for people who are looking to learn about paint with watercolors.
In this example I used a cute palette: lemon yellow, some oranges, red, emerald green and violet for the shadows and dark parts. Besides I've made the black ink lines with a small brush (nº 4). I know that paint with brushes using ink is hard, but with patience and practice you can obtain great results. Dont' be afraid to try!

I hope I've been of some help to you ;)

Kiss,
Miss Aoki.

Melancolía // Melancholy

Melancolía // Melancholy
Tinta china y gouache blanco // Indian ink & white gouache.
¡Hola!

Miss aoki.

Hi!
Recently I've been reading a different kind of comic that I usually I do, a Korean Shojo (shojo is manga based in romantic subject) and I'm so impressed with its style of drawings, which is very different of japanese style, it has a lot of details, such as: flowers, nice clothes and very beautiful and melancholic characters.
I want to show you two awesome examples of that: "The bride of the water god"  by Yoon, Mi-Kyung or "Love at first season"  by LEE Si Young ( if you like lovey-dovey novels, you will like it ...)

Using this material for inspiration, I tried to make one with my own style, using indian ink. I'm very proud of my result, above all I love the leafs on the background and and the melancholic ambience.

I think we never be afraid to try new things and we always have to be searching for new inspiration everywhere.

I hope these comic or my drawings will be your inspiration too.
Big kiss,

Miss Aoki.
